Review Mania

Time to put on my critic face again. Here we go.

Toy Story 3: The Video Game

This is a platformer AND a sandbox or, as the game developers so cleverly called, a toybox, and this is probably also the best movie game ever made. The platformer's ok if a little too repetitive but the sandbox is awesome. You can play as familiar character, Buzz, Jessie, or Woody. You go around taking missions, but the fun is YOU DON'T HAVE TO! You are free, even encouraged, to have fun and buy more playsets to get more places to explore like Sid's Haunted House, Zurg's SpaceCraft, or an awesome race track. You can also mine gold, fight bandits, race, go ghost busting, blow stuff up with dynamite, shoulder charge people, help army practice parachuting, haunt people or turn them into fairies, and, my favorite, go around zapping everthing with a lazer gun. Racing is awesome but doesn't control well so I prefer to get around on Bullseye the horse or a fire breathing dragon. Now don't be thinking, "Cool, a fantasy dragon!" Actually, it's more like a stuffed Webkinz and the fire turns into pretty little hearts. Yeah. Pretty little hearts. Now onto the glitches. They go from awesome to superlame. Your cars can get stuck and there are annoying audio rough parts. The awesome? I found a patch of ground where you can mind infinite gold, but when I came back later it disappeared. I guess good things don't last forever. Anyways, this game gets an 8.5 out of 10. If you have the choice, you should get the PS3 version. The XBOX and Playstation got superior reviews than the Wii, but the Playstation game lets you play as Emperor Zurg.

Harry Potter 6: The Movie

I don't want to talk about the story, so if you haven't read Harry Potter get of the computer and read a book. Let me tell you the important things. David Yates did an excellent job with my personal favorite Potter movie. The performances are pretty good, but Emma Watson and Dan Radcliffe stand out. The special effects are fine especially with the bridge scene at the beginning. This is the best Potter movie so far, and I recommend it.

Game Review 5: Roblox

Roblox is a kid-friendly, mostly free online game. The reason I say mostly free is that there are objects you can buy with real money but joining, building, buying( with in game currency), and playing is free. I don't like online games and I just joined this one to talk to my friends. This one isn't that bad actually. The premise is building your own levels and playing other people's. The tools for building are simple but I'm not that good anyways. Maybe 'cause I'm not patient. Playing other people's games is really fun since some are awesome. My only complaint is that the graphics stink. I'm talkin' skunk stench. They're blocky and boring. Sometimes your character falls down for no reason. You can get stuck with weird camera angles. The point tracking system doesn't always work and I sometimes randomly fall through floors. That being said, It's still really fun. My favorite games are Modern Warfare! Less Lag, The ORIGINAL Cops VS Robbers!, and Naruto Battlegrounds, to name a few. Let's just say if you want to see all of them join Roblox and look up the profile for Monkeyflipping.

Conclusion: Play this game!

Number rating: 7.8 out of 10

Sorry and Game Review 3 and 4

Sorry guys, I didn't post a new Critical Monkeyflipper yesterday. I didn't have much time. To make up for it, today I'm posting two.

3: Super Smash Bros Brawl
This Wii game is totally awesome. I really like playing as Kirby and whacking people with a hammer. Multiplayer is awesome. I don't agree with people who don't like single player, I think it's fine. You should buy this game now.

4. Wii Play
This Wii game is the first that I review and don't like. I know it's only ten dollars, but I only liked one of the games and that is Tanks. That game is only good if you have a nunchuk. Controlling with the d-pad is annoying. Instead of buying this cheap 'n' terrible game, you should rent a cheap but awesome game like Thrillville: Of the Rails, trust me in saying you will spend more time on that.

Game Review: Pocket God

This is gonna be short. Pocket God is a game for the iPhone that is totally awesome. Maybe I just like messing with cute animal people. You can strike them with lightning, feed them to sharks, summon dinosaurs to fight them. The possibilities are endless. There are missions, but I've never played them. I can't tell you the price, because all the iPhone games I review are on other people's phone so unless I'm there when they buy it I can't tell you the price. You should buy it now.

Game Review 1: Fieldrunners

Critical Monkeyflipper: I'm thinking of starting reviews on the internet. The first one is about the iPhone game Fieldrunners. Here goes: Fieldrunners is an addicting tower defense game( see, I know my stuff) with colorful graphics. Managing your towers is really fun and shows what the iPhone is capable of. It's also fun to zoom in and see your enemies getting pwned my missiles, guns, the works. I only have one complaint: there's only 4 towers. I know you can level them up, but it's still disappointing. Even with my one negative, the game is still worth the little $2.99 you pay and with limitless replay value( ditto) it's a must have.
